Due to continual growth, recent site expansion and increased workload, our client who specialise in the manufacture and repair of HGV/bespoke trailers are in the process of recruiting a number of mechanical fitters/Welders for a new site in Market Weighton. This new site offers a much larger working environment and better working facilities to cope with the workload.  They are looking to add hard working individuals to their existing team to help expand the business further. Ideal candidates will be time served and have previous MIG welding experience working on vehicle repairs. Experience carrying out basic auto electrics will be advantageous. This is a 12-week temp – perm role and available for an immediate start for suitable candidates.

Hours – Monday – Friday 7AM – 3.30 PM

Role description:

• Carry out repairs to HGVs (body work, drilling, grinding, welding)
• Stripping out and replacement of parts
• Fabrication and fitting of side panels and doors
• Paint spraying
• Basic auto electrics

Qualifications / Skills

• Ideally candidates will be time served with experience of MIG welding on a range of materials (steel, aluminium, stainless)
• Experience of vehicle repairs (Advantageous)
• Understand and interpret mechanical drawings
• Basic auto electrical knowledge (wiring, fault finding) advantageous
• Must have own tools and overalls.
