Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Utilities Surveyor on behalf of a wireless telecoms infrastructure service provider based in Leeds.

This company have been at the vanguard of the telecommunications infrastructure roll out for over 20 years. They manage the planning, designing, and constructing of wireless and fixed wire sites using specialist inhouse teams to ensure every installation is optimised to its full capacity. Site inspections and maintenance along with decommissioning work are also offered in addition to managing facilities, temporary sites and site shares. They cover project all across the UK.

The successful candidate must have experience carrying out surveys across a variety of industries, identifying utility pipes and cables for verification, validation and excavation, as well as data gathering to produce mapping information of underground and overhead distribution and supply services. We are looking for candidates with GPR experience.

This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. The salary/package is completely open for negotiation. They will consider candidates at various levels and salaries.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys as required by the work instruction
• Undertake investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures
• Liaising with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients
• Create Utility Survey Reports
• Carry out appropriate quality control checks and issue data to CAD
• Check all survey drawings before they are issued to our customer
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and internal staff members

Skills & Attributes

• At least 2 years Utility Surveying experience
• Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility tracing and GPR
• Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
• Ability to post-process GPR data
• Ability and willingness to work flexibly
• Good communication and IT skills
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• A full UK driving licence
