The Opportunity

Apex Engineering Solutions is an employment agency acting on behalf of this leading independent engineering consultancy. Continued expansion has created an interesting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join their existing team of dynamic individuals

The Position

The successful candidate should be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative and to tight time scales. You should also be a team player having the confidence to attend site meetings, carry out structural surveys, site investigations and liaise with clients, their representatives, consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors.

You should also be conversant with the design of structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, structural masonry and timber.

As part of the role you will be required to manage large and small contracts and report on contracts to the senior management.

The Person

• Ideally chartered or looking to achieve chartered engineer status
• Several years relevant engineering experience preferably gained working in a consultancy environment
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise confidently with all stakeholders
