The Opportunity

Our client is an established multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy. They have a broad client base ranging from small residential projects to vast commercial developments.  Due to continued expansion they are recruiting for an experienced Structural Engineer.

The Position

Undertake structural design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors on projects up to £20 million in value

The Person

• Hold a B.Eng/M.Eng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
• Be working towards chartership status through IStructE or ICE
• Have good design experience and structural analysis skills in most common structural materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry
• Preferably have an understanding of drainage and wider civil engineering design
• Have a good knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering software
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have experience in managing your own workload
• Represent the company at meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors
• Be responsible for accurate structural design calculations and drawings
• Be a positive team member
