Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Structural CAD Technician on behalf of a Structural Engineering consultancy based in the East Midlands who specialise in structural design and façade development for prestigious building projects throughout the Uk and overseas.

They specialise in the high-quality delivery of a wide range of building structures projects across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

We are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of projects across numerous sectors. There is a highly competitive salary on offer for this position, in addition to offering a range of benefits.

Responsibilities

• Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects.
• Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation.
• Aid the development of more junior team members.
• Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings.
• Reinforcement detailing and scheduling.
• Aid the development of more junior team members.
• Attending Design team meetings.

Skills and Attributes

• Hold either an ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Previous experience within a consultancy-based role.
• Have experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD with proven track record in delivering high standards of draughtsmanship.
• Experience with Revit is desirable though not essential.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean UK driving license.
