OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are recruiting for a Business Insight Analyst on behalf of a national multi-disciplinary Construction and Facilities Management company.

 

The Analyst will be responsible for the provision of reporting and analytics, and covert raw data into actionable insights that will guide the organisation.

 

You will also support the team’s analysis service through the provision of both regular and bespoke reporting, and to assist the Head of Insight & Information on complex data analysis projects.

 

Role Description

  • Investigate and resolve any data issues that arise, monitor the quality and accuracy of data to meet reporting requirements whilst ensuring data integrity.
  • Support the production and distribution of timely, accurate and fit for purpose management information on a daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc.
  • Ensuring high quality performance management reports are developed for the business
  • Clarify requirements and build new reports as requested
  • Review, amend and create reporting procedures and processes
  • Manage own workload to ensure deadlines are met and critical requests are prioritised
  • Share knowledge, technical expertise and ideas with colleagues within the team and the wider business
  • Investigate and resolve any data issues that arise, monitor the quality and accuracy of data to meet reporting requirements whilst ensuring data integrity
  • Interact and build relationships with stakeholders to provide appropriate insight based on the reports and recommendations to improve reporting processes
  • Ensure data is presented in a format to engage the audience and promote decision making and actions
  • Preparation of packs in a variety of formats for management and stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding and being aware of relevant technical, product & service developments and how/if it can be utilised within the team.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in analysing, interpreting and presenting management information
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent facilitation and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
  • Strong customer service focus with an ability to utilise reporting capability of our systems to provide added value to our management
  • Ability to interpret/analyse data and present information to Senior Management
  • Ability to work on own initiative and drive forward the MI capabilities of the Department – being proactive as well as reactive
  • Will have held a similar MI role within a busy department
  • Will be used to working in a fast paced environment
  • Impeccable attention to detail and drive to ensure 100% accuracy of Data
  • Experience of writing/developing reports in a report writing tool e.g. Crystal Reporting, SQL Reporting (or similar system) or will have the enthusiasm and capability to develop this skills
  • Advanced user of Excel – in particular ability to manipulate data from different sources into a usable format using formulas, pivot tables and chart tools
  • Strong IT skills generally to include Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Microsoft 365, SQL & VBA
  • Experience in liaising with external partners and strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate effectively with anyone in any environment
  • Will have a strong understanding of confidentiality, information security and data protection
