Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager on behalf of one of the UK’s leading building services companies.
Established over 40 years, their head office is based in London, and they also have several over offices across the nation. They are known for their services in M&E, FM, Design and Construction.
They are a well-known company with hundreds of employees working for them. They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.
This is working on a project secured in the North West to two Campus Sites. It is starting at the end of October and is running for 12 months.
Works are:
- Installation of large air source heat pump installations and pipework distribution underground and through buildings.
- Associated civils works
- Solar PV
- Battery Storage
- Mechanical and electrical connections in to existing infrastructure
We are looking for a Site Manager to manage the programme, directly employed operatives and subcontractors.
Salary/rates are open for discussion. We will be commensurate with current industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct RAMS evaluations, pre-start briefings, Toolbox talks, point of works risk assessments, site inspections and incident reporting
- Ensure all allocated works are effectively managed so that delivery meets client, customer, and company standards
- Manage, Monitor, and report on programme
- Report progress and concerns to the Project manager
- Ensure all key documents, QA packs and daily site reporting are collated
- Keeping daily logs and diaries to reporting progress and budget matters to senior management
- Managing the construction process, supervising all activity on-site, responding to delays
- Collaborating with specialist’s subcontractors and Clients for permits and licences
- Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
- Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.
Skills & Attributes
- An Engineering qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical Service.
- Experience working on HVAC projects in Commercial, Healthcare or Public Sector environments.
- High personal standards and attention to detail
- Appreciation and understanding of Health & Safety legislation, awareness of all relevant statutory, regulatory policies and guidelines, particularly SHEQ
- Proven experience of managing teams and staff in a contracting environment
- Ability to work to tight time scales and prioritising work efficiently
- Strong communication skills to lead a diverse team and the ability to explain specifications and technical documents
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- Full UK Driving licence
