Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer on behalf of a Structural Engineering consultancy based in the East Midlands who specialise in structural design and façade development for prestigious building projects throughout the Uk and overseas.

They specialise in the high-quality delivery of a wide range of building structures projects across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

We are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play a leading part in the delivery of a wide range of small, medium and large building projects across numerous sectors. There is a highly competitive salary on offer for this position, in addition to offering a range of benefits.

Responsibilities

• Play a leading part in the delivery of a wide range of building projects from inception to completion.
• Attend site projects and design team meetings as required.
• Create, develop and maintain strong working relationships with highly valued clients.
• Lead projects independently on a range of contracts.
• Aid the development of more junior team members.
• Carry out structural design and analysis including reports on a range of projects.
• Assist with bid proposals.

Skills and Attributes

• Hold, or working towards MIStructE / MICE / AMIStructE / AMICE or equivalent.
• Previous experience within a UK based engineering consultancy.
• Possess experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Have a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Think creatively and logically to resolve design challenges.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean UK driving license.
