Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of an expanding plastic engineering company based in Rochdale.
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a wide range of projects which typically value up to £0.5 million.
Role Description
As the QS, you will be responsible for assisting in commercial and contractual aspects of projects, take offs, site surveys, forecasts, variations, procurement, and final accounts including the formulation and timely submission of interim payment applications taking into account the costs expended to date and any imminent material deliveries.
Some estimating, purchasing, job costing, and health and safety documentation preparation may also be required.

You will be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to manage your working day efficiently.
Proficiency in MS Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook etc is essential as is good inter-personal skills and a good telephone manner.
You will have a Degree or HNC/HND in quantity surveying and you will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience preferably in Mechanical / utility / civil Engineering contracting works. Membership or working towards RICS would be beneficial.
