A client of ours, a leading Facilities Management company, are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor based in the North West on a permanent basis. The role will require the successful candidate to produce commercial proposals for specific quotations as per client requirements. Candidates will have relevant experience carrying out site visits and surveys for M&E and Fabric works, with previous experience estimating the cost, materials and staff required to complete works. This role is available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

Carry out site visits and surveys for M & E and Fabric works.

Estimate the cost, materials and staff required.

Calculate adjustments for overheads, profit, life expectancy cycle and contingency and performance bonds.

Estimate the completion of the project including milestones and completion rates

Enquire the cost for materials and sub-contractor costs and evaluate the prices

Liaising and negotiating with clients, contractors and sub-contractors, quantity surveyors and administration staff

Organise and write / present tender proposals.

making changes to the tender document including preliminary pricings, time scales.

Handover of tender to the project team

Skills

Demonstrable experience working as Quantity Surveyor

Experience providing estimates for both Mechanical and Electrical Works

Experience carrying out commercial works

Full UK Licence

Ideally holding relevant QS qualifications

Must be able to pass a DBS check.
