My client, a leading international manufacturing/engineering business in North Yorkshire, are looking to recruit a Pressure Tester/ Mechanical Test Technician to join their existing team on a permanent basis. This role has been created due to growth within the department with addition of new testing facilities. These roles will be available for experienced Mechanical Engineers with demonstrable experience within Hydrostatic/ Pneumatic pressure testing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Mechanical/ Hydraulic Assemblies/ Sub assembly.

This is a days based role Monday – Friday

Role Description

• Perform tests including external/internal hydrostatic and /or pneumatic, static/dynamic weight and buoyancy.
• Assembly of hydraulic / mechanical test equipment.
• Mechanical assembly of submersible products consisting of structural components, pumps, motors, valves manifolds, manipulators, gearing…etc.
• To perform pressure & electrical/optical function testing of cables, connectors and PCBs.
• Complete all documentation associated with client/in house testing.
• Complete all required QHSE documentation including, including Risk Assessments, ECN…etc.
• Carry out offsite duties as assigned.
• Carry out maintenance to test equipment as assigned.
• Carry out job tasks safely using good working practice.
• Ensure good housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Skills

•Time Served Mechanical Engineer
• Working knowledge of Mechanical / Hydraulic systems
• Previous experience in Hydrostatic pressure testing
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environmen
• Safety Conscious and able to follow SOP’s
