Due to an increase in production demands we are currently recruiting a number of Mechanical Assembly Fitters to join our client on a permanent basis at their site North of York. These opportunities will be based on days between Monday & Friday . These roles will be available for experienced apprentice trained Mechanical Fitters who are looking for a long term role within a well-established and well known organisation. Candidates will have strong demonstrable experience working within a Mechanical engineering environment with experience in hydraulics and forming own pipework. Overtime is available after 38 hours all paid at premium rates.

These roles will be based on the following rotating shift pattern :

Week 1 Monday – Thursday 0730 – 1730
Week 2 Tuesday – Friday 0730 – 1730

The 5th Day ( Friday Week 1/ Monday Week 2) is available for overtime which is paid at premium rates

Candidate Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a medium to heavy engineering environment would be an advantage.
• Good all-round experience with hydraulics assemblies, pipework, and general component assembly
• Using a range of valves and pumps for each assembly
• High pressure testing experience would be an advantage
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and have excellent attention to detail
• Must be confident working with and reading engineering drawings

Candidate Skills
• Time served apprentice trained Mechanical engineer
• Excellent all-round assembly experience
