OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Having been awarded several new lucrative contracts this national Building Services Contractor is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager. Working out of their newly opened Leeds office you will initially be based on a multi-million pound new build prison contract managing the mechanical site operatives and sub-contractors.

 

The Position

As the Mechanical Site Manager you will be responsible for;

  • Receiving and reviewing drawings and specifications from client or main contractor
  • Resolving discrepancies with the client
  • Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard
  • Ensuring each contract is maximised on returns
  • Maintaining good working relationships with clients and main contractors
  • Completing company paperwork clearly and legibly
  • Recording variations to contract and provide information to QS
  • Assisting interims and final account payments
  • Completing monthly cost to complete (WIP) on all live projects every month
  • Reviewing all tender information on handover on each project from the Estimating Team
  • Reading, understanding and implementing the Company Health and Safety Policy and QA at all times

 

The Person

The Mechanical Site Manager should possess the following;

  • NVQ Level 1 in Mechanical Installation
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in mechanical installations
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of standard commercial communications and word/date processing equipment and applications
  • Experience of managing projects from £500K to £3M in value
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and statutory bodies
  • Accuracy and precision in preparation of documents
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • To hold a full UK Driving License
