Our client is urgently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with an to join a long standing and well-established engineering team within their company. The client is internationally recognised within its industry and is a leading manufacturer in the UK. The successful candidate will be experienced at carrying out mechanical work to maintain effective running of all plant equipment and obtain maximum production output and service efficiencies while improving costs, health, safety and quality. This is a permanent role based on Days.

Candidates must be time served ( Minimum NVQ Level 3) and have experience working within a continuous production environment.

Monday – Wednesday 8-4.30 + Thurs / Fri 8-4.

Role Description

• Carry out all PPMs on a variety of automated machinery including conveyors, stacking equipment, Overhead Cranes.
• Maintenance on vehicles including FLT’s and Transporters.
• Fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown or planned situations;
• Modification and improvement of plant;
• Hazard identification and elimination;
• Problem solving;
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and support and contribute to the site HSE initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

* Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship
* Strong working knowledge of Hydraulics/ Pneumatics
*Demonstrable experience working within a Production. Manufacturing environment.

*Able to pass a medical prior to starting the role ( Offer subject to passing medical.
