We are currently recruiting for a industry leading company who specialise in the manufacture and repairs of bespoke commercial vehicle trailers. Due to an increase in workload they are looking to add a Mechanical Fitter / Welder to their existing team. Ideal candidates will be time served and have previous MIG welding experience working on vehicle repairs. Experience carrying out basic auto electrics is an advantage. Candidates that don’t have experience of welding but have good mechanical knowledge/experience plus a positive attitude and willingness to learn will be considered. This is a 12 week temp to perm role available for an immediate start.

Hours – Monday  – Friday 7AM – 3.30 PM

OT paid at premium rates ( x1.5) – Available Monday – Friday + Saturday Morning 7AM-11AM

Role description:

• Carry out repairs to HGVs (body work, drilling, grinding, welding)
• Stripping out and replacement of parts
• Fabrication and fitting of side panels and doors
• Paint spraying
• Basic auto electrics

Qualifications / Skills

• Ideally candidates will be time served with experience of MIG welding on a range of materials (steel, aluminium, stainless)
• Experience of vehicle repairs ( Advantageous)
• Understand and interpret mechanical drawings
• Basic auto electrical knowledge (wiring, fault finding) advantageous
• Must have own tools and overalls.
