Due to production demands following acquisition of a new contract, we are now recruiting a number of Mechanical Fitters to join our client, an established, leading manufacturer based north of York. These are permanent roles working on a days based shift-pattern between Monday-Friday. In order to be considered for this role, applicants must be apprentice-trained and possess demonstrable experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment, including experience with hydraulics and pipework. This role is ideal for someone looking to find long-term work in a challenging and interesting environment.

The shifts will rotate between the following:

Week 1 Monday – Thursday 0730 – 1730
Week 2 Tuesday – Friday 0730 – 1730

The 5th Day (Friday Week 1/ Monday Week 2) is available for overtime, paid at premium rates.

Candidate Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a medium to heavy engineering environment advantageous.
• Good all-round experience with hydraulics assemblies, pipework, and general component assembly
• Using a range of valves and pumps for each assembly
• High pressure testing experience would be an advantage
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and have excellent attention to detail
• Must be confident working with and reading engineering drawings

Candidate Skills

• Time-served apprentice trained Mechanical engineer
• Excellent all-round assembly experience

• Experienced working in a manufacturing environment working to SOP’s ( Advantageous)
