Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to work a variety of Commercial and Industrial projects throughout the Uk. The company are a national M&E Contractor who are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their existing team.
The ideal Mechanical Estimator will be mechanically qualified with experience of full M&E projects.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of Mechanical tenders, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- Liaison with Clients with regards to Mechanical variations and ensuring that all variations are recorded and instructed where deemed necessary.
- Liaison with clients and consultants with regard to providing value engineered proposals.
- Procurement (sub-contractors/specialist sub-contractors & major orders) Liaise with clients, consultants and main contractors with regards to existing & possible new opportunities.
- Finalisation of all tender bids, attend pre-order meetings, secure contracts and hand over contracts to M&E Contracts Managers.
- Maintaining proper records using Microsoft Office suite of software tools
Skills and Experience
- To be considered for this role, you must have proven previous experience in a Mechanical Estimating role ideally with a Mechanical Contractor.
- Ideally, you will be a Time Served Mechanical Engineer or have an ONC/HNC or Higher Qualification (degree) in Commercial Construction/Building Services or Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision, Works well under pressure.
- Knowledge of Amtech M&E Estimating software an advantage
