OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for an Manufacturing/ Production Engineer, based on days in Leeds. This is on behalf of one of our clients who are looking at streamlining the current manufacturing process ahead of a new product launch. The ideal candidate will have quality experience as a Manufacturing/ Production Engineer within a manufacturing environment with exposure to manual assembly of small components. Additionally you will have experience implementing continuous improvements and have dealt with New Product Introduction (NPI). Ideally you will be degree qualified in a mechanical/ electrical/ mechatronics discipline.

Role Description
•Work within a team to identify and implement lean techniques.
•Redesign of manufacturing cells to streamline process
•Creation and implementation of the manufacturing processes / facilities required for successful New Products Introductions.
•Work alongside R+D team to ensure all new products are introduced on time and aligned to the company’s production strategy.
•Identify deficiencies in site infrastructure effecting production, plan and implement corrective actions in accordance to group strategy.

Qualifications & Skills

•Ideally you will be degree qualified in a Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics discipline,
•Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment with exposure to mechanical/ electrical manual assembly of small components
•Experience implementing lean techniques with demonstrable evidence.
•Knowledge of Electronics.
