OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently in the market for Commercial Gas Engineers who will be required to work in Central London. The company are a national provider of energy metering, monitoring, billing and other related services to community and district heating schemes. The successful schemes are owned by Local Authorities, Housing Associates and Private Landlord throughout the UK.

 

The business’ overall aim is to continue to be one of the biggest providers of services to community and district heating schemes across the UK

 

Your role will be to take responsible for carrying out reactive and planned maintenance along with instillation’s on Plant Rooms and Commercial Boiler systems for a wide variety of Commercial properties throughout Central London.

 

Responsibilities

  • Self managed engineer who will responsible for achieving towards company targets
  • Repair and Service commercial boilers systems and / or plant rooms
  • Day to day reactive and preventative planned maintenance works across a varied and wide range of commercial heating systems
  • Be able to cover a wide range of skill sets within the gas industry
  • Response service fault diagnosis, repair and renewal works
  • Pricing works where applicable , for minor projects and maintenance
  • Participate in standby and rota for emergency calls outside of normal working hours
  • Maintenance and upkeep of Plant Room and associated equipment
  • Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
  • Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Gas Safe (Essential)
  • Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications – COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CCN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1 (Minimum six months remaining prior to renewal of certification)
  • Previous experience in a service, maintenance and instillation environment
  • Experience or qualifications on BMS systems
  • Experience of CHP engines and Biomass boilers
  • Experience of building services engineering within district and community heating
  • Knowledge and experience of communal/district heating schemes
  • Electrical experience both single and three phase is preferred but not essential
  • Full, clean driving licence
