OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting for a New Works Coordinator on behalf of a national multi-disciplinary Facilities Maintenance and Construction company.

The New Works Coordinator will be responsible for the Coordination and Project Management of a range of maintenance services and refurbishment works for numerous sites across one of the clients’ prestigious, long-running contracts.

 Role Description

  • Preparing small works quotes
  • Raising and sending PO’s for New Works
  • Chasing and checking delivery of materials from suppliers
  • Induction of contractors on site
  • Issuing of authority to work/access passes to contractors
  • Monitoring work orders for rejected quotes, quotes with PO received etc. and progress works to the Regional Manager
  • Updating log notes, start/finish dates & completed works
  • Checking and submitting completed work orders to the commercial team
  • Providing weekly progress for regional meetings
  • Updating Asbestos register for new surveys
  • Updating the building drawings using Auto CAD
  • Analyse data trends and provide reports to relevant Project Managers.
  • Agree timetable of audits with the Project Managers and Safety Adviser
  • Support the Project Management Team in receiving and monitoring the Annual Maintenance Plan (PPMS).
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place for all tasks you carry out both individually and as a team.
  • Ensure that Changing Attitude Towards Safety (CATS) is complied with and target reporting is achieved.

Skills & Attributes

  • Auto CAD proficient
  • Computer literate, word, excel & power point
  • Maximo asset management or similar experience
  • IOSH managing safely – Desirable
  • P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings – Desirable
  • The post will involve travel between contract locations as necessary for reasons as required.
  • Able to obtain SC clearance.
