OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join a specialist contractor who supply and install Steel Framing Systems, Partitions, Render and Cladding for a wide range of projects including Schools, Residential developments and Commercial Properties throughout the Uk.

 

The Estimator will be involved in projects at every stage in the process from enquiry through to completion and be responsible for pricing up BOQ’s and developing cost plans for secured projects.

 

Role Description

  • Have the ability to price BOQs and takeoffs from drawings.
  • Liaise with current clients about up and coming projects.
  • Manage the process completely, from enquiry through to appointment.
  • Maintain and monitor the tender register.
  • Prepare monthly reports on future pipeline of works.
  • Develop cost plans for secured works.
  • Build relationships with New Clients in order to secure orders.
  • Liaise with product suppliers on technical information and achieve competitive pricing

Skills & Attributes

  • Relevant Cost Estimating OR other industry qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Steel Framing and Partitions is essential for this position.
  • Robust commercial acumen and an experienced logical approach to cost planning and estimating.
  • Have a strong financial and tendering acumen.
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with clients.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
