OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Project Manager on behalf of a specialist civil engineering and utility surveying consultancy. The company provide land surveying and engineering services for a wide range of projects throughout the Uk.

Role Description

  • Manage the day to day workload across all Engineering/Surveying Projects in line with defined customer requirements and business defined processes and standards.
  • Support the management in compilation/response to all approved bids and proposals for Engineering/Surveying in line with defined processes and customer expectation.
  • Ensure that all Project Based/Task Based work packages within Business Unit scope are compliant to company standards and processes.
  • Manage workforce within all Engineering/Surveying Projects and ensure compliance to company standards and processes.
  • Manage and deliver on all Engineering/Surveying Projects to secure optimisation of working hours and the delivery of on cost performance to project budgets.
  • Ensure full reconciliation with Commercial Director, Operations Manager and Project Manager for all commitments and ensure such commitments are aligned with company rules and targets.
  • Working under delegation of responsibility, undertake audits on behalf of Quality and HS&E, ensuring full compliance to defined processes.
  • To work collaboratively with other Business Unit Project Managers in ensuring the highest standard of process management and Project/Task based work package performance.

 Skills & Attributes

  • RICS Chartered Surveyor
  • CSCS card
  • Experience of managing multiple projects
  • Driving Licence
  • Proven experience and understanding of business finance/commerciality and proven ability to manage costs within a project
  • Experience of briefing and managing project teams
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated.
  • Survey/construction experience.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to brief work teams.
  • Will have experience establishing and developing relationships with clients.
