We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our well known manufacturing client based in St Helens on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment with a background in Electrical Maintenance. Candidates MUST be time served within an electrical discipline, 17th Editon qualified with experience working with and fault finding PLC’s  (Siemens/ Allan Bradley), HMI’s and Scada Systems.

This is a days based position working Monday – Friday 8-4.

Candidates will also be required to be part of an on call rota ( 1 in 9)

Role Description

• Planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery including conveyors, temperature and process control, stacking equipment.
• Fault finding and diagnostics in emergency breakdown or planned situations;
• Modification and improvement of plant;
• Hazard identification and elimination;
• Team-based problem solving;
• To take part in the on call system for the site and be able to provide out of hours coverage in line with the needs of the operation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Recognised Electrical apprenticeship
• Demonstrable experience working within a Engineering/ Manufacturing environment within an Electrical Maintenance role
• Demonstrable experience working with and fault finding PLC’s ( Siemens/ Allan Bradley), HMI’s and Scada Systems
• 17th Edition qualified.
• Able to pass a medical prior to starting the role ( Offer subject to passing medical)
