Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager on behalf of a national Refurbishment and Fit-out Contractor based in Essex.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for multiple refurb and fit-out projects throughout the South East valued up to £250k.
Role Description
- Oversee refurb and fit-out projects up to a value of £250k.
- Liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction
- Attend site meetings
- Manage multiple projects at any one time.
- Must be able to review technical drawings for variations, valuations and take offs
- Preparing documents from tender and contract
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Cost control
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations;
- Feasibility studies of client requests
- Allocating upcoming work to contractors
- Prepare contract documents e.g. method statements and risk assessments
- Carry out site visits and surveys
- Prepare handover documents.
- Manage contract costs and variations including procurement
Skills & Attributes
- Degree qualified in a Construction Or Engineering discipline is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience managing multiple refurb and fit-out projects.
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Previous demonstrable experience in a contracts manager role
- Experience in surveying and quoting for small and large works desirable
- Experience in managing a team
- Working knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation
- Experience in commercial and industrial sectors
- IT literate, e.g. proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar
- Full driving license
