OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

An interesting and challenging opportunity exists to work for one of the country’s leading International EPCMs. The position will involve the management, control and delivery of a £20m Pharma facility which is a refit/new build that is being contracted under an NEC commercial agreement.

 

Responsibilities

  • This responsibility will involve ensuring the delivery and installation of a quality product to budget and specification.
  • Responsible for developing procurement plans and contracting strategies before working with the legal team to formulate templates for head, subcontract, consortium agreements and for ensuring the application of project remuneration systems involving our Client and supply chain.
  • You will also be responsible for developing and leading negotiations with our Clients and the supply chain covering all aspects of contract execution.
  • Actively managing client accounts, claims and forecasts
  • Reporting and resolving issues that arise from these accounts and mitigating any risk to the company from issues arising
  • Ensure financial aspects and impacts of contract are clear to all parties
  • Preparing commercial evaluation prior to price-fixing, such that comments/objections be considered
  • Determine and summarise the commercial status of a tender or contract, drawing management attention to aspects of the contract having commercial implication

 

The Person

The successful candidate should possess exposure to Life Sciences, Science and Research or Pharmaceutical sectors of the engineering and construction sector

Significant experience within a large scale EPC projects environment

Thorough understanding of codes, governing regulations and industry practices.

NEC Contract experience

Willing to travel

 

Highly Desirable (but not essential)

Chartered Membership of RICS / CIOB.
