OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Supervisor on behalf of a national multi-disciplinary Facilities Maintenance and Construction company.

The Commercial Gas Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of a team of Gas Engineers and office staff to ensure the delivery of high quality gas repairs, servicing and installation for a prestigious contract covering East London.

 Role Description

  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the gas team including all operational staff and office staff.
  • Have a sound understanding of employment law and will be expected to carry out all aspects of the disciplinary process.
  • Carry out investigations to control and ensure the highest level of quality service delivery is achieved and maintained.
  • Ensure the contract is 100% statutory compliant with regard to valid CP12/15 certification.
  • Ensure all engineers hold sufficient competencies and maintain a training and qualification matrix to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare heating designs for quotation and installation.
  • Provide detailed reports on all equipment within a property or dwelling with relation to the heating and hot water system.
  • Supervise the Statutory Compliance for quality assurance and reporting.
  • Maintain stocks of materials, ensuring accurate records are kept of both usage and requisitions.
  • Ensure that health and safety issues are communicated effectively and promoted within your area of responsibility
  • Prepare quotation and tender documentation as required
  • Carry out monthly tool box talks, vehicle inspections and uniform inspections of each engineer on a one to one basis.
  • Plan, manage and monitor the Out of Hours requirement and publish the call out roster in a timely manner. Participate in an emergency ‘out of hours’ service as required.
  • To attend appropriate training courses and supervision meetings as required.

 Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience working as a Gas Supervisor
  • Gas Safe registered
  • Previous social housing experience is essential
  • Previous experience on writing KPI reports
  • Hold a minimum ACS gas qualifications in CCN1,CENWAT,CKR1,HTR1
  • IT literate and comfortable using excel, word and outlook
  • Relevant commercial experience and qualifications
  • Must be familiar with and working to the GIUSP (Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure)

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working as a Gas Supervisor
  • Gas Safe registered
  • Previous social housing experience is essential
  • Previous experience on writing KPI reports
