The role will require you to service and repair all types of heating equipment, including but not limited to gas fired unit heaters, air handling units and gas fired boilers.
Call outs will be a part of your daily duties, therefore good experience and knowledge of gas fired heating equipment will be essential. You will need to be able work under your own initiative to quickly and accurately resolve all manner of faults and issues.
Minor plumbing works will form part of the job description at times (eg repair leaks and pipework modifications for boiler changes and or heater alterations etc).
We also have work available for a qualified air conditioning engineer to carry out both planned preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance to include air conditioning units, chillers and heat pumps etc and would welcome applications from multi skilled engineers that can cover this work too.
Qualifications & Attributes:
Fully qualified commercial Gas engineer with current ACS tickets, proficient in use of a computer and Microsoft Office programs
Preferable: FGAS Qualified, OFTEC Qualified and Domestic Gas ACS tickets
Earnings:
We are offering engineers £19 per hour.
40 hour week = £19 x 40 x 52 = £39,520.00
Therefore, 40 hour plus 10 hours travelling per week = £19 x 50 x 52 = £49,400.00
The above is all before overtime.
So the engineers are expected to work 40 hours on site (basic) plus travel (and that they are paid door to door) so £40k – £50k is the salary they are paid and this is before over time.
Overtime is 1.5 x and 2.0x rates.
