OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer to work around the Greater London area for a well established facilities company.

You will form part of a team of 20 engineers who will support and provide contractual requirements to in excess of 7,000 properties around Greater London.

Role Description

  • Self managed engineer, to ensure targets are achieved
  • The repair and servicing of Mechanical & Electrical equipment, PPM & reactive
  • Managing priorities within contract constraints
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve set goals
  • Be able to cover a wide range of skill sets within the gas industry
  • Provision of job feedback information to help desk and senior engineer
  • Responding to customer needs and building relationships in a professional manner
  • Participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours
  • Pricing M&E works where applicable, for minor projects and maintenance
  • QSHE management in accordance with the clients Quality Management System and all legal and statutory requirements
  • Experience in management of FM services across a diverse multi-site portfolio of facilities
  • Exceed customers’ expectations whilst operating in a profitable and competitively way
  • Be fully responsible for own Health and Safety whilst on site
  • To manage workload costs effectively

Skills & Attributes

  • Gas Safe certified (essential)
  • Experience of domestic and commercial gas boilers (essential)
  • Previous experience of gas systems or multi-disciplined maintenance
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Experience and competent in health and safety legislation
  • Ability to read schematic and circuit diagrams
  • Record work accurately on computer based systems and work sheets
  • Can work as part of a team
  • Willingness to undergo additional training
  • Participate in task audits / near miss reports
  • Take responsibility of own actions

Successful candidates will require a Full Security clearance / DBS check upon acceptance of the position.
