OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Company

Our client is a specialist provider of low-pressure water mist and sprinkler systems, with a reputation for delivering an exceptional and proven product to its clients across a wide spectrum.

Working on a national basis carrying out product design, sales, installation and maintenance within commercial, retail, health and educational sectors, to both private and public sector clients.

The Opportunity

They are expanding their commercial team and currently looking for a Commercial Assistant. Working in a small commercial team alongside the Managing Director, inclusive of general administrative duties, you will be given responsibility to maintain commercial and contractual control over ongoing schemes.

Previous commercial experience is desirable however candidates from any M&E and/or construction management background will be considered, provided you possess the willingness and ability to learn and progress. The role may also suit someone with experience of working within an accountancy team/office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts management / credit control to a high degree of commercial awareness
  • Contracts management
  • Communication with clients and external parties
  • Provide project focused support to Managing Director and senior management
  • Meeting coordination and management of company calendar
  • Production of documents, reports and briefings for clients and internal senior management

Desired experience and Attributes:

  • Previous experience within construction management and/or M&E/sprinkler works
  • Ability to clearly and professionally negotiate matters to reach the desired outcome
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good Microsoft office skills
  • Proactive, confident and able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
