The Role

Reporting directly to the Mattress Supervisor, this role involves stapling quilted and various other types of fillings of differing sizes and depths onto a spring unit, using a hand held pneumatic staple tool, then turning the unit over and repeating the process .To attach borders, corner packing to the unit, and stacking neatly. You will be expected to liaise with the Material Feeder, Spring Feeder, Edgers, Supervisor and the Quality Inspector.

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensure condition of spring unit is acceptable
• Ensure spring unit correct size and gauge
• Check condition of panel /fillings/and border
• Maintain cleanliness of all materials, that they are free of dust/oil marks
• All fillings and tick must be centralised on spring unit
• Carry out a daily check on the condition of the staple gun you are using
• Check individual clipped units bear your identification mark
• Operating within and following all site health and safety guidelines
• Follow all quality standards that are in place
• Carry out any other reasonable request from management deemed necessary to contribute to the effective operation of the factory or site
