OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Clerk of the Works on behalf of a local authority affiliated organisation based in Daventry.

The Clerk of Work will be responsible for overseeing the construction of building works in progress and making sure that construction staff work to plans in a timely manner.

 

Role Description

  • Oversee building works in progress.
  • Ensure that health and safety rules are followed.
  • Carry out regular inspections of the work on site comparing completed work with drawings and specifications.
  • Measure and sample building materials to check the quality of them.
  • Identifying defects and thinking of ways to fix them.
  • Liaise with other staff such as managers, engineers and architects.
  • Monitor and report progress.
  • Record results.
  • Work closely with the project design team and clients to ensure contracts run smoothly.

  • Ability to plan and manage workload.
