OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a CAD Operator on behalf of a specialist civil engineering and utility surveying consultancy.

The CAD Operator will work alongside the Service Coordinator to prepare 2D and 3D drawings and update master drawings for a prestigious utilities project based in Central London.

Role Description

  • Develop and draft models, drawings and plans.
  • Maintaining and updating master drawings of services.
  • Maintain an up to date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to computer hardware and software applications.
  • Producing both 2D and 3D drawings using a range of software packages
  • Provide support to the Service Coordinator as required.

Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D (Essential), ArchiCAD (Desirable), Revit (Desirable), Bentley MicroStation (desirable)
  • Knowledge in Land Surveying/Engineering drawings, 2D plans, 3D models, Elevations and Internal building surveys.
  • Experience in the use of N4Ce and/or LEICA Geo-Office is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience of Underground Utilities Services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Laser Scan processing and drawings using Cyclone (“Register”. “Model”, “Publisher”) and Cloud Worx
  • Experience of working with multiple XRef.Files
