OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Company
An exciting and challenging opportunity to join this leading international HVAC Contractor, specialising in the Nuclear and Rail sectors. As the Branch Manager you will be responsible for the overall day to day operational management and achievement of sales and profit for the Trade Counter. Identifying market opportunities and implementing strategies to deliver growth targets. Reporting performance and risks to the senior management team. Your responsibilities will include;

* Be responsible for a safe and healthy working environment and ensure the company health and safety policies are upheld and targets are achieved
* Build an effective relationship with customers and maximise their potential
* Develop and monitor the sales, profitability and growth of existing accounts through agreed reporting methods for predetermined customers Tiered to the Regional Sales Manager.
* Develop new business and grow their sales and profitably and report progress to the National Sales Manager.
* Provide market intelligence and observe competitor activity through their pricing policy, product range development and competitive threats and report to the National Sales Manager.
* Plan efficiently the use of branch resource to service customer requirements
* Provide technical support for both products and procedures for customers and staff
* Be responsible for ensuring customer quotations are processed commercially and effectively and follow up with the
* Maintain a close relationship with Credit Control to ensure effective credit management and work to the Credit Control procedures
* Ensure all orders are processed in conjunction with the correct procedures with full traceability for audit purposes
* Provide an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service
* Be responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the delivery vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure
* Be responsible for Inventory levels and management. Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property by being security conscious at all times, reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager

Person Requirements
* Have sound product and commercial knowledge of the air movement industry
* Be conversant with the HVAC industry and product standards
* A strong sales or estimating background
* The ability to engage and retain customers
* Good communication skills when identifying problems and presenting solutions
* Develop staff and lead by example through trust, honesty and respect
* Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and email options
* Full UK driving licence

Highly Desirable (but not essential)
* Contracting experience
* Qualifications in air movement design
* FLT and First Aid certificates
* IOSH Managing Safely

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
