Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Project Manager / Contract Manager on behalf of a specialist company within the Building Services Engineering industry.
Incorporated over 15 years, they are a family owned business which now currently employ over 200 employees. Most of the work carried out is based in the North West and is on a range of buildings such as schools, offices and industrial units.
Working within the Air Conditioning Division and covering contracts in the North West of England, you will oversee the implementation of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Services to a variety of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with previous experience in a similar role looking to grow in a thriving department.
This is a permanent position, covering the North West, paying £40k – £45k per annum. Weekly pay. Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm – Friday 8-30am to 4-30pm. £533 per month car allowance plus additional perks.
Responsibilities
- Daily/weekly resourcing, scheduling and management of engineers and sub-contractors.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance is maintained at all times on sites and work locations.
- Ensuring quality control of engineers and sub-contractors.
- Meeting clients, assessing works and producing estimates & quotes for required works.
- Developing customer relations and solid working relationships.
- Preparation of required documentation in order to progress projects from quotation stage through to client hand over.
- Attend site meetings with customers to review, interpret, and understand customer specifications & requirements.
- To manage all related activities to the successful completion of the projects. In line with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints.
- To provide leadership for the project delivery team and to maximise the potential of the team and the individuals within.
- Producing material lists & obtaining quotations from suppliers.
- Provide technical assistance and support to field based teams and operatives where required.
Skills & Attributes
- Sound knowledge of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems.
- Conversant with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Able to demonstrate experience in a similar management / supervisory role.
- Strong work ethic and able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Able to communicate and build relationships in a professional manner.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.
- Previous experience in a service and maintenance environment.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Well organised and able to work on own initiative.
