Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a family run HVAC supplier.

Established over 40 years, they specialise in the installation, servicing and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. They have over 25 members of staff working for them.

They have a wide range of clients including Schools, Universities, Commercial, Residential, Hospitals, Pubs, Clubs, MOD sites and Formula One Race Teams.

Our ideal candidate will have good experience and knowledge of VRV/VRFs, alongside standard split systems. Hours of work generally are 8am to 5pm although you are often required to start earlier in order to get to site for an 8am start. We also ask you to join our weekend call out rota, which currently works out 1 in 8, there is additional pay for these weekends.

We are looking for an F Gas qualified engineer with experience in working in a similar role ie carry out planned preventative maintenance and minor fault finding on air conditioning, ventilation systems and a range of refrigeration units. Also completion of relevant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Discussing requirements with customers.
• Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults.
• Carrying out planned maintenance.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience maintaining air conditioning systems.
• Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-Gas Qualification.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
