OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are recruiting for a Compliance Manager to work on a prestigious contract in East London on behalf of a national multi-disciplinary engineering and construction company.

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that a large portfolio of Residential and Commercial properties remains compliant against regulatory, statutory and contractual targets.

 

Role Description

  • Management of the compliance team to deliver servicing, maintenance and certification for assets and equipment including, domestic and commercial boilers, pumps, lifts, emergency lighting, door entry systems etc.
  • Manage an internal team of administrators, planners, supervisors and specialist subcontractors.
  • Manage the servicing and remedial action programmes and associated resources to meet compliance targets.
  • Ensure that all compliance data and certificates are managed effectively and copies of completed certificates are stored for audit purposes.
  • Ensure that regular compliance audits are carried out and results are reported to senior staff.
  • Ensure the registration and training of Gas Engineers and Electricians are regularly reviewed, updated as required.
  • Manage and develop operational staff and ensure that the training and personnel needs are met
  • Ensure that the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are complied with at all times
  • Establish, maintain and develop working relationships with the client and customers.

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience within the social housing sector and knowledge of and experience delivering Statutory Compliance programmes for a large number of properties.
  • NEBOSH Qualification
  • A specialist knowledge of fire, electrical and water is desirable but not essential.
  • Have relevant statutory compliance qualifications.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and repairs & maintenance software
  • Previous experience in a senior management position
  • Solid numeric abilities to understand/calculate compliance performance data and then analyse and report back periodically as required to various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a complex workload to tight deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication with outstanding stakeholder management skills
