We are currently recruiting on behalf of an International engineering company based north of York for a Quality Inspector to join their existing team on a permanent basis. Ideally candidates will have experience in inspecting goods inwards/ Machined/ fabricated and finished assembled components using  a range of Dimensional inspection equipment (Micrometers/Verniers). Ideally you will be time served however individuals with a wealth of Quality Inspection experience will be considered. Candidates must be experienced in reading of engineering drawings and working with dimensional inspection equipment.

This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

Role Description

• Verify mechanical, machining and weld materials based upon company drawings and test specifications.
•Inspect fabricated and machined components to engineering drawings.
•Perform mechanical inspections for components and completed assemblies, paint shop inspections, visual inspections, thickness measurements and weld shop inspections.
•Complete all necessary documentation according to the company’s requirements (including timesheets, ECN etc.)
•Prepare certification packages as required.

Skills & Attributes

• Time served in a relevant engineering discipline – Ideal
• Conversant in the use of traditional measuring equipment Micrometers/Verniers
• Experience in as a Quality Inspector within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
