OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Due to an increase in workload and on-going contracts, a new position has been created for a Store Person. You will be working for this leading, well established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor in the Marine Industry.

 

The Role

As the Store Person your main duties will involve;

  • Assist with the unloading of deliveries
  • Ensure all goods are appropriately receipted and signed for
  • Ensure goods delivered are assigned to the appropriate kits or placed in the correct stock location
  • Pick up goods from suppliers
  • Assist with the loading of goods to be dispatched
  • Assist with ensuring final orders are correctly packaged
  • Delivery of equipment
  • Ensure orderly and tidy stock locations
  • Ensure a sufficient stock level of critical parts
  • Assist with the completion of stock taking as and when required
  • Workshop and Yard Maintenance
  • Ensure facility equipment are kept clean and in good working condition
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment
  • Visit local ships
  • Sourcing equipment for the ships engineers as required.
  • Dealing with electric motor deliveries
  • Work with other departments on site and external sites which may include: Labouring, driving or/and working with hand tools.

 

The Person

Essential requirements;

  • Computer literacy especially Excel Sheets
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Able to work under own entitative
  • Ability to work in a team

Desirable:

  • Forklift licence and or experience using a forklift
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse or stores system
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • Experience in a manufacturing and or engineering environment.
