OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of the UK’s leading building services companies.

Established over 40 years, their head office is based in London, and they also have several over offices across the nation. They are known for their services in M&E, FM, Design and Construction.

They are a well-known company with hundreds of employees working for them. They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.

As the Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible to carry out Electrical Services, Planned Maintenance (PPMs), Reactive works M&E repairs and able to carry out minor basic fabric repairs.

 

Responsibilities

  • PPM in adherence to set SFG20 engineering standards. All in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specification.
  • Respond to Reactive Works to include all Mechanical & Electrical and minor fabric issues.
  • Adhere to the out of hours call out rota (as required).
  • Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
  • Provide engineering condition reports and quotations.
  • Logbook auditing.
  • Good customer interface skills.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • NVQ Level 2/3 Electrical qualification.
  • 2391 Test & Inspection qualification would be beneficial.
  • Reasonable competence of fabric maintenance. i.e. Basic carpentry (door repairs, shelf erecting etc); internal furniture, fittings and décor repairs; external fixtures and fittings repairs.
  • Experience working within FM or the building maintenance industry.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
