OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor on behalf of a very well established Mechanical, Electrical and Maintenance contractor.

Established over 30 years ago the company now employs upwards of 100 staff throughout the UK and provides design, construction and maintenance services for a range of blue chip, public and private clients on projects including Rail, Commercial, Industrial and Social Housing.

An experienced Domestic Electrical Supervisor is required to join our existing team for new and existing contracts within the Midlands area, primarily looking after 1-day kitchen and bathroom or rewire teams. Ensuring that the organisation complies with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation and to communicate those requirements to the engineers. You will be responsible for a small number of electricians, ensuring their work meets with the Client and company standards. Typical contracts include inspections, electrical upgrades, rewires and repair and maintenance works.

This is a permanent role, paying £38k – £43.5k per annum, covering the Midlands. Mainly the Birmingham area. Perks also include van & fuel card, overtime, pension, bonus scheme, discounts at a number of leisure centres, discount to mobile phone contracts, mental health support, funded training to improve engineers’ capability, £15 fortnightly allowance to keep the vehicle clean. You will receive 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This can increase, due to length in service, up to a maximum of 5 days. The core working hours are 8am – 5pm, although there may be a certain degree of flexibility depending on individual circumstances.

 

Role Description

  • Carry out daily site inspections.
  • Technical support for operatives.
  • Practical completion of individual sites and process paperwork.
  • Tenant liaison interface.
  • Contracts include inspections, electrical upgrades, rewires and repair and maintenance works.
  • Ensuring that the organisation complies with all aspects of NICEIC accreditation and to communicate those requirements to the engineers.
  • Comply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Fully qualified Gold Card electrician.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Experience in inspection, testing, certification and reporting procedures for electrical installation in domestic properties.
  • Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
  • Full UK Driving License.
