OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer on behalf of a commercial and industrial water specialist who design, install and service a wide range of water treatment products and systems.

Established over 80 years, they have a range of products including water coolers, water fountains and instant chilled & boiling water taps. They also have a range of products for commercial and industrial water treatment including water softeners, filtration systems and RO systems.

They operate in a range of sectors including workplaces, offices, residential, healthcare, education, gyms, sports & leisure and construction.

The Service Engineer will be required to service, install, commission and maintain water treatment equipment on site. You will be expected to deliver first class service in a safe and sustainable manner and ensure timely site attendance and follow up reporting to support the Customer. Full training of company product range will be available.

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. It is paying £32k – £36k for a Service Engineer and £37k – £41k for a Senior Service Engineer. Perks include annual bonus, overtime, pension and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. You will also have access to a van and fuel card which can also be used for private use.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer satisfaction and achieve the right first-time objective; develop any necessary remedial action plans.
  • Deliver site reports to the Service Manager / Team Leader by the end of the next working day following the visit.
  • Communicate daily with the Service Manager / Team Leader providing job updates including issues, remedial works and follow up duty of care plan where required.
  • Maintain van stock, tools and equipment in serviceable condition.
  • Participate in staff appraisals, skills matrix and regular reviews.
  • Attend necessary training courses including site specific to enhance skills and development.
  • Work safely and with due diligence when on site and follow health and safety protocol.
  • Other duties as required by the Service Manager / Team Leader.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Technical knowledge of maintaining Water Treatment systems.
  • Experience working in a similar position.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude and able to work quickly and efficiently whilst using your own initiative.
  • Persistent and efficient with logical problem-solving skills.
  • Highly effective Time Management and Personal Organisation.
  • A valid UK driving license.
