Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer on behalf of a well-known FM contractor.

They have over 50 members of staff working for them and multiple offices in the UK.

They a large portfolio of clients including Aldi, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, Schools etc.

As the AC Engineer, you will be involved with installations, routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on cooling systems. You will work on a range of sites including offices, schools, hospitals and supermarkets. This will be working between 2 sites. 1 in Leicester and 1 in Peterborough.

Private use of van is allowed. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. They also have a bonus scheme.

Responsibilities

• Surveying buildings where cooling systems are to be fitted.
• Discussing requirements with customers.
• Installing systems.
• Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults.
• Carrying out planned maintenance.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-Gas Qualification.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
