The Opportunity

Our client is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of subsea equipment throughout the world. They are currently going through a recruitment drive to support expansion of the business, and are looking for several experienced Engineers with a background in the Oil & Gas industry. They have several exciting opportunities for Project Engineers to join the team in Leeds at all levels of experience.

The Position

You will be expected to deliver technical information and instructions within a planned schedule. Provide advice to customers, other operations and departments across the business on design, problems and solutions.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer roles are:

• Lead the Project engineering execution activities for projects ranging in size & complexity.
• Lead and oversee work of junior engineers to ensure quality of deliverables as well as on time delivery.
• Create and maintain product documentation (requirements, specification, design, development, integration, test procedures and results) following company procedures.
• To engage in product development work within the business portfolio of clients.
• Discuss the customer’s requirements and identify company products which meet these.
• Give technical advice on the application and proper use of company products
• Adhere to the processes stipulated in the Engineering Procedures (EPs) and the Business Process Management system (BPM).
• To ensure all work is undertaken in a safe manner in line with company health and safety guidelines.
• To reflect and promote SLB “blue print” of Commitment, Integrity, Teamwork and Drive.
• Maintain familiarity with Company technology, organisation, and business. Understand and provide technical solutions according to the company strategy.

The Person

Ideally candidates should possess the following experience/skills:

• Degree in Engineering or suitable alternative qualification plus suitable experience.
• Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills
• Problem solving ability.
• PC skills to include, SAP/PLM, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MathCad, AutoCad and Inventor or similar 3D CAD package.

Benefits

Salary range £40 – £60K plus an annual bonus of 10-20% depending on the level. In addition 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays rising to 27 days after 5 years ,Family Private Healthcare , subsidized café and free gym on site, range of Flexible benefits , free electric car charging points.
