OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a national specialist provider of facilities management and engineering solutions.

The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining operations across a number of Commercial properties throughout Central London.

Role Description

  • Replacing of fixtures and fittings, repairs to door frames, window frames and architrave
  • Ensuring all work is recorded and reported back to include details of work carried out and materials used
  • Liaising with sub-contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance work is carried out
  • Report any defects in building equipment and security systems observed in the course of duties
  • Undertake the efficient monitoring of the heating systems, ensuring all systems are working.
  • Record and monitor all utilities and report readings to the facilities assistant.
  • Control and manage stores and materials including critical spares.
  • Responsible for continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate.
  • Be available out of normal work hours on an ad hoc basis to attend to defects of an urgent nature.

 Skills & Attributes

  • Must have previous experience of working as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Experienced in Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and repairs.
  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical and/or electrical Engineering, BTEC level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering)
  • Ideally possess additional skills, knowledge and expertise within commercial building services i.e. building fabric, electrical/gas and plumbing.
