OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

A rare and exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join a national provider of energy efficient and sustainable building services design solutions throughout the Uk.

The Trainee Energy Consultant will assist in the scheduling and organisation of the commercial team and will work with the Senior Energy team in modelling scheme efficiency and monitoring capital and operational expenditure in order to make recommendations for improvements.

 Role Description

  • Scheduling and organisation of installation and maintenance works carried out by the commercial team.
  • Assisting the senior energy team with modelling scheme efficiency and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Working with Senior Consultants to monitor CAPEX and OPEX
  • Assist with bulk energy purchasing/pricing and tariff determination.
  • Writing tender responses and assist with compiling of bids.
  • Liaising with clients face to face and over the phone.
  • Letter and report writing

Skills & Attributes

  • BSc/MSc in Sustainable Energy or related engineering subject.
  • Working knowledge of the Sustainable Energy industry either through university placement or work experience.
  • Exposure to and understanding of CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Highly analytical with excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of Community Heating/District Heating schemes is advantageous but not essential.
