Due to an increase in work load due to securing a number of large projects, we are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a client North of York on a fixed term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a planning role within an engineering / manufacturing environment with solid understanding of Machining and Assembly processes. The successful candidate will be required to maintain accurate MRP plans by reviewing ERP reports, investigate exceptions and action any required messages.

Candidates must have strong working knowledge of MRP/ ERP Systems ( Navision is advantageous)

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract available for an immediate start.

Required Duties
•Issue and receipt of all manufacturing paperwork, collation of all data and recording onto the live MRP system
•Internal/external expediting to include supplier quality and delivery performance
•Management of the open order report to coordinate accurate information for the daily/weekly production meetings
•To utilize PIMS methodology to achieve business KPI’s
•To manage load v capacity including micro management of the production schedule against daily/weekly output
•To work with Buyers on any material delays that will affect production output
•To manage all sub contract operations in the value stream
•To maintain all material routings
•Inventory control management including stock counting to business process
•QA production plans

Qualifications/ Experience
•Previous Experience working within a planning role within an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment.
•Excellent Planning and organisational skills
•Broad understanding of an MRP system ( Microsoft Dynamics Navison/ SAP)
•Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook literate
•Excellent communication skills
