OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer on behalf of an established Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Company based in the Scarborough area.

The Service Engineer will be based in the UK however; there is travel to destinations worldwide. You will be responsible for supporting the service team and being the front line assistance for customers at every stage including commissioning of the equipment right through to training.

 

Role Description

Your responsibilities will include;

  • To Install, commission and service all equipment of bending machinery and CNC Machines
  • To implement key customer service contracts, ensuring both scheduled service work, and machine breakdowns are dealt with professionally
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreements
  • document and submit all signed installation
  • ensure any outstanding issues are followed up and dealt with appropriately
  • gain an understanding of customer’s organisations, looking for further sales
  • participate in site surveys and site meetings
  • Liaise effectively with the Service & Support Team on all installation, service and training schedules

 

 

 

Skills & Attributes

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes to be considered for the position;

 

  • Relevant mechanical or electrical qualifications AND/OR proven practical experience in mechanical and electrical engineering in industry
  • Good written and verbal skills and be able to communicate at all levels both with internal staff and with customers
  • Good organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise personal workloads in line with business and customer expectations
  • Must have a Customer Service skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Worldwide travel will be involved with this position, training will also be provided.
