Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join a very niche and extremely busy client in the York area who are involved in a range of bespoke projects. This is a rare opportunity to join a continually expanding business and be part of a number of highly visible projects across the globe. The role will primarily be based in York however travel will be required as part of the role to client sites which could be both national or internationally based therefore candidates must be willing to travel as required. Candidates must have a demonstrable background working within a Project Management role within an Engineering/Construction/ Manufacturing based environment with experience working with Live Events/ Exhibitions. Candidates will be required to manage all aspects of projects from cradle to grave including tender preparation/ quotation, budget management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring relationships with existing clients are maintained while also identifying new prospective clients and project opportunities therefore sold communication skills are a must.

Role Description:

• To attend client meetings to discuss potential projects
• Provide advice and guidance to clients regarding project requirements within their available budgets
• To prepare project quotations in line with company procedures
• To manage project spend in line with the defined budget set
• To clearly brief the project specification and schedule to the relevant production departments
• Working with the Production Manager and other relevant stake holders, manage project progress through production to preparation and loading for site.
• To attend site to ensure the project delivery meets client requirements and to provide support to the on site teams
• To attend project briefings and debrief meetings with all relevant departments to identify areas for improvement within the costing, management and build of projects.
• To communicate in a professional manner within all areas of the business from pre-production, production to final delivery.

• Ensure all systems and procedures are followed with regards to the Quality Management System and Health & Safety and be clear of the required levels & areas of responsibility.

Skills & Attributes:

• Demonstrable experience in a Project Management within an Engineering/ Construction /Manufacturing environment
• Qualified within an Engineering/ Technical Discipline ( Advantageous)
• Prince 2 qualified ( Advantageous)
