Our client, a leading Engineering/ Manufacturing company based north of York, are looking to recruit a number of CNC Millers to join the team on a permanent basis. These roles have been created due to a large increase in workload and introduction of a new product range.  The ideal candidate will be time served with experience in programming, setting and operating Mazak OR Hurco Milling Machines using Mazatrol OR Winmax controls. Candidates with a strong Milling background with a solid understanding of Fanuc controls with a interest in learning Mazatrol will also be considered.

This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

There is a large amount of overtime available all paid at premium rates

Role Description

• Set up and operates machine tools.
• Fits/assembles parts.
• Must be able to hold very close tolerance at times.
• Must be capable of studying specifications such as drawings, sketches or descriptions of parts.
• Must be competent in the use of precision measuring devices and all types of layout work.
• Produce NC programs prove ad store (where applicable).
• Carry out standard machine maintenance.
• Capable of working with limited supervision.
• Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices
• Ensure good housekeeping at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Attributes

• Time served in a relevant engineering discipline – Ideal
• Conversant in the use of Mazak OR HURCO Milling Machines
•Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol/ Winmax OR Fanuc Controls

• Experience with Manual Lathes/ Millers – Advantageous
