OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Flood Risk Specialist to join the sustainability arm of a leading multidisciplinary consultancy who operate throughout the Uk and overseas.

The Flood Risk Specialist will be responsible for undertaking hydrological and flood risk assessments for a range of sustainability projects throughout the Uk.

Role Description

  • Undertaking Hydrological assessments, Flood Risk Assessments (FRA),
  • Development and design of drainage solutions (g. networks & SuDS)
  • Carrying out hydraulic and river modelling
  • Liaise with clients and relevant regulatory bodies
  • Development of both internal and external customer relationships

 Skills & Attributes

  • First degree in a relevant subject.
  • Ideally a Masters Degree in an environmental discipline related to hydrology.
  • Previous relevant experience, including detailed flood risk modelling and the production of Environmental Statements.
  • Previous consultancy experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills due to the client facing nature of the role.
